But then she practically skipped to her front door and walked in. Maddie sat there for a second, wondering what universe she’d time-traveled to. Idly, she brought her fingers to her nose and sniffed. Despite her shower, despite the hours that had passed, the delightful scent of Cody Keaton lingered, infused onto Maddie’s skin.
